Rhode Island, the smallest U.S. state, is now in the process of considering passing of a bill that would allow expansion of casino games offered at the local Twin Rive slot parlour in Lincoln. For the purposes of gambling regulation, the state has its own Lottery Oversight Committee whose chairman introduced the bill and proposed a public referendum on the issue. If approved, the little state will be able to benefit from yet another casino game and boost its tax revenues from gambling in the Twin River venue that currently offers 4,750 video lottery terminals. Blackjack is by far the most popular casino table game, only recently outdone by baccarat which has become dominant in Macau, the current Asian gabling capital.
