Frankfurt Preview: ‘Intelligent Stop and Go’ ECO-dynamics Kia cee’d with lowered CO2 emissions
Filed under: MPG, Kia, Frankfurt Motor Show
Kia will introduce a refreshed version of its best-ever selling C-segment car during the Frankfurt Motor Show next month with the new ECO-dynamics cee’d. The new cee’d gets slapped with Kia’s new ECO-dynamics branding because it uses the new new ‘Intelligent Stop and Go’ (ISG) system which drops CO2 emissions to 110 grams per kilometer . In the new cee’d, ISG makes an appearance on Kia’s 1.6 liter diesel engine for the first time. The entire cee’d line-up gets a emissions cut of about five percent, Kia says. On the style and function front, the new cee’d’s front grille, suspension and dozens of other interior and exterior aspects have been tweaked and updated. Pricing and other details will be announced closer to the new cee’d’s on-sale date in the UK, which is October 1.
