Alleged cheaters caused uproar at the Holland Casino Main Event over the weekend. The €1,500 buy-in event had been played for hours already when Pieter de Korver, one of the top poker pros, noticed Kadir Karabulut sitting at the same table. Observing him for some time he concluded that something dirty was going on at the table and around and alerted the venue managers. When he declared that one of news photographers moving around the tables taking pictures was actually Karabulut’s accomplice, around 30 other players got enraged and the casino had to stop the tournament until the unwanted ones were walked out and banned entry. Last year, Karabulut got disqualified as well, back then it was at the Partouche Poker Tour where he allegedly used the aid of bloggers and reporters who should have signalled him information about other players’ hole cards.
